What Causes Nasal Stuffiness, yellow Mucus And Cough In A Child?

I have an infant that is 6 weeks old. He has been stuffy since birth. He breaths normally until he takes in a deep breath (like when covered with a blanket to go outside). His sinuses sound very stuffy. He does have a slight cough. Some congestion going down toward the lungs. I put saline drops in his nose and use a suction bulb to clean him out every once in awhile. The mucous is yellow. Is this a cold or does he have some sinus problem? It has been going on at least 5 weeks and is not getting any better. My pediatrician said not to worry, babies are stuffy in the winter. We have a humidifier going and the air is moist. I take him back to the dr. in 2 weeks. I would like your opinion. Thanks.

Thanks for the query.
I would like to tell you that if there is no fever, baby is accepting feeds well, passing urine , stool properly, and gaining weight there is nothing to worry.
Continue using nasal saline drops.
Sneezing for 3-4 times and cough for 2-3 times is absolutely normal
Hope i helped you.
