Causes of anemia in neonat may be ABO, Rh incompatibility, enzyme deficiency, maternal diseases, infections like rubella, parvovirus, spherocytosis, anemia of prematurity etc.

Your doctor will do investigations like coombs test, Hb electrophoresis, Enzyme tests, LFT, KFT, Viral PCR etc. to determine exact cause.
