What Causes Hives And Itchy Rashes All Over The Body?
I'm a 28 year old female. I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs. I awoke in the night with stomach pains, a few minutes later the pain subsided, but the palms of my hands started itching horribly. I noticed that I had a raised area about the size of a pencil eraser on my hip, within a few minutes I had a few hives and an itchy rash over most of my body. I've taken allegra (it was the only antihistamine I had) and atarax for the itching. I also used some steriod cream. Could this be an allegeric reaction? Possibly a spider bite??

Don't worry I will help you with your concern. Hives occurs in urticaria. It can occur due to multiple underlying causes or it may occur without any cause known as idiopathic urticaria.
Possible underlying causes can be Infection in body like dental carries, stomach infection or cough cold, skin infection.
Any medicine: Any food allergy like egg, meat, brinjal, chicken, beans etc. As you mentioned you had stomach cramps, you might have stomach infection and that must be causing hives. Atarax and Allegra are both good for urticaria.
