I had a twin c section 12 weeks ago and have been bleeding on and off ever since the surgery, and About two days ago the bleeding became very heavy with menatrual like pain, severe leg aches and I've literally been exhausted even after I've had some good nights of sleep. Is any of this normal?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
To have heavy bleeding after 12 weeks. It can be exaggerated bleeding in lactational period. Still if it is too much, it can be secondary post partum hemorrhage which needs to be investigated for its cause and treated accordingly. Please consult your gynecologist. Till then you should take rest &cap CVP gynecologist 2 capsules three times a day after food. For some relief before you reach the doctor. Pain medicine like Ibuprofen over the counter.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
