What Causes Heart Failure Symptoms While Suffering From Mitral Valve Prolapse?

I AM FEMALE AND 24, born with heart murmur, and hole in heart. Just found out its Mitral valve Prolapse. I have progressive MVP sYMPTOMS, and they also match heart failure symptoms. Could this be heart failure, as my heart has had to work harder my whole life with mvp?

From your history i presume that you have ASD(hole in septum between 2 upper chambers of heart) which you have not clarified.Almost 20% of patients of ASD have Mitral valve prolapse. This may produce palpitation, chest pain and dizziness. If there is no associated regirgitation MVP does not lead to heart failure. You must get color doppler echocardiography done to know what is pressure in lungs(as hole in heart may increase this pressure and mitral regurgitation is there or not?
your further line of treatment will depend on this report.I would be interested to know your report.my best wishes.
