I am experiencing Lots of hand stiffness and can barely make fist. I'm 34 weeks and have hbp. Also have pulsating back pain in the middle of my lower back for the past week. I have not picked up any weight during my pregnancy (1st). What does this mean?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The lower and middle back pain could easily be due to pregnancy and need not be investigated as the growing size of the uterus and your baby can easily put pressure on the back. As for the pain in the hand, this could be a cause for a medical checkup and in my opinion may require some investigation. Conditions like dupuytren's contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc; need to be ruled out.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
