What Causes Fever And Skin Rash In A Child?

Hi there. I m really worried about my 1yr old girl. She had a fever 2 days ago (better now), but developed a twitch in her face & neck. Now she has a very fine rash over her all over (apart from face). She s grumpy and will not sleep during the night and seems sluggish & a little off balance during the day. Any thoughts?

Hello,

It could be a simple viral fever most probably. In kids fever most often associated with rashes. As of now you can give paracetamol syrup to bring down core body temperature. Do tepid sponging to reduce body temperature. If symptoms persist better to consult a pediatrician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
