What Causes Fainting After Excessive Alcohol Consumption?

My dad is in his mid 40s . He has been drinking beer over 10 years! He drinks daily more than a six pack, sometimes he will drink up to 15 beers in a few hours, today after drinking many beers with his buddies , for the first time he fainted! We r concern , was that a sign of a decease alcohol consumption does?

Hello concern Son, your dad is drinking too much and since long.Alcohol causes depression of brain activity and stop sensory stimuli to perceive. If intake excessive it can cuase intoxication.And considering chronic intake his brain is already suffered a lot. And.And after adding more packs it has cause severe brain activity depression and he fainted.Better to deaddict him.if he is not ready go for, liver function test and sonography for abdomen.If damage is sever he can be motivated to quit alcohol.
