I have an unusual though not debilitating symptom which my personal physician is not able to correct. I would like to ask your opinion as to what the problem might be and/or what types of further investigations I should take.
The symptom is simple: when my bladder becomes full, I start to sweat all over my body. The sweating is rather profuse. However, my body releases excessive sweat during exercise anyway. So it is not surprising to me any longer when I have large volumes of sweat during the times WHEN I sweat. What is not understood is the cause of bladder fullness and the resultant sweat.
The condition is a reasonably minor irritation to my quality of life. A second compounding affect, however, is that I have a small bladder and need to urinate frequently. This, also, is a genetic attribute from youth and not a surprise. However, because i urinate 3-5 times every night, and with each 'full' bladder I also sweat, and with every sweat there is a large volume of water expelled, the total effect is quite uncomfortable. It is not unusual for me to have to change shirts during these events, or to rotate the bedding.
From what I can perceive, most of the sweat appears on the torso. The head does become slick with a fine sheen of moisture. The legs are also the same way. But the torso will drip water.
The condition wakes me up at night.
After I relieve my bladder, the sweating stops.
What do you think?
Thank you, Martin Petersen
