General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

Chest infection is most common cause of cough & wheeze. Wheeze also appears in asthma. I would suggest you following things:
> Give Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan for cough
> Take a pot with boilling water, cover her head & pot with a sheet and ask her to take deep breaths with that steam. It will give soothing effect( Take care that she does not burn her face).

Report to hospital if:
> Condition remain same after 3-4 days
> Any unusual symptom appears
> Condition deteriorates.
> There is difficulty in breathing.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing her good health.
