What Causes Drowsiness,weakness And Depression While Taking Levipil?

Dear Doctor, I am Hemant Bhagat.. a 41 year Male.. had undergone operation in April-2010. for left fronto parietal meningioma a non cancerous tumor under scull. then after I was prescribed Eptoin 100mg TDS but due to allergic symptoms discontinued n go on valparin chrono 500 and Levepil 500. both twice a day.. but in between I got epilepsy attacks few times periodically..lastly when I got epilepsy again my neuro phisician adviced me to take levipil thrice a day with valparin twice a day.. but now I am feeling Drowsiness, weakness, Depression, Dizziness, Neck pain, Flu like symptoms, Numbness, Anxiety all the day and a fear of getting Epilepsy now n then.. Please advice me..

All the symptoms mentioned are sidr effects of levepill . It seems like at the dosage what you are now you are not tolerating it well . I advise you ask your neurologist to reduce the dosage and add an additional medication for example clobazam.

But for the fear of recurrent seizures you need to take a psychiatric counseling.
