What Causes Dizzy Spells And A Lump Behind Ear?

I am a 32 year old female in great health. I have had a few dizzy spells in the last month or so but have not had one in the last week. Throughout the days I am having to pop my ears often and feel like they are stopped up most of the time. I have no pain in or around my ears. 2 days ago I found a pea size very hard knot located on the bone right behind my ear. It does not move, it is not red, and it is not painful, just a hard knot. Is this something that needs medical attention?

Hi,

You may be having retro auricular lymphadenopathy with bilateral middle ear infection or Eustachian tube block. It may be due to allergy or due to infection.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Use tablet Montelukast and Levocetrizine once a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
