Hi,
Generally menstrual cycles with the length of 21 to 35 days can be considered as normal only. Sometimes minor fluctuations in the menstrual cycles can occur due to many causes like:
- Reproductive hormonal imbalance because of psychological factors, changes in diet, sleep, weight, etc.
- General conditions like anemia, fluctuation in blood sugar levels, thyroid hormonal imbalance, changes in serum
prolactin levels, etc.
Abdominal cramps, bloating function of abdomen, decrease sleep, breast tenderness, etc. symptoms can be seen during the premenstrual period due to reproductive hormonal fluctuations. As you have undergone
tubal ligation and also as your
pregnancy test kit give negative result the possibility of pregnancy is less.
You can wait for a few more days and possibly you may get periods by that time. If the irregularity in menstrual cycles persists, you may need evaluation. By clinical examination and investigations like
ultrasound,
hemoglobin levels, blood sugar levels, thyroid profile, serum prolactin levels, etc. the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
