Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 8 month old has had a fever for several days - the first night she felt slightly warm, the second and third day we have to give her something for her fever. she has no coldor flu symptoms. is it something i need to be concerned about? she s eating and using the bathroom as usual. just slight cranky and wanting to be carried more.
fever in an infant is always must be assessed , it can be simple like an upper respiratory tract infection , middle ear infection , a Urinary tract infection or can be more serious than that . so I recommend a full physical exam by her pediatrician to look for hidden infections : otitis media , pnemunoina and UTI . I hope she doesn't have any of the above mentioned . I hope this helps
