What Causes Constant Fever?
my son has had a fever for more than five days,he has been to the doctor three times and he is on antibiotic but nothing seems to be working . even with Tylenol his fever rarely breaks all the way. what kind of illness has a fever that lasts this long?

Hi,
As now five days passed of having fever, it requires investigation like complete blood count like TC, DC, Platelet count, MP.
He might require S. Widal test for typhoid as well.
After report line of treatment can be planned out.
Give him plenty of water and liquid and keep him well hydrated.
This will help in getting down fever with Tylenol.
Give him light diet.
Ok and take care.
