What Causes Burning Sensation While Passing Urine?

I am a 59 yr old male and I am having a bit of trouble emptying my bladder. Urine is clear but sudsy. Today as I was fininshing there was a clear gel like substance. I experienced a burning sensation about a month ago once as I was urinating. Any ideas?

Hi,

Your symptoms could be due to urinary tract infection, STD infection like gonorrhea, chlamydia. I would suggest to consult urologist and undergo clinical examination, urine tests, urethral swab test, tests for gonorrhea, chlamydia.

Following treatment will help you: For UTI: Tablet Septran DS, Tablet Pyridium, syrup Cital Tablet Doxycyxline for 2 week cover all STDs.

Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple. Do not delay in empty bladder and empty it completely. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
