i have been tired, breathless and have enlarged glands in my throat for months now. i had a few too many drinks about three weeks ago and ended up in a and e with chest pains, palpitations and my head felt like it was going to explode with pain in my ears and throat. i had an ecg and it was fine. the same thing happened to me yesterday and i ended up in a and e. i had blood tests and an ecg but nothing. was told to go to my docs. i have had the swollen glands, nite sweats, tiredness for over twelve months the doctor put it down to me being perimenopausal (im 48) but have never had the reaction to alcohol before. it was dreadful i thought i was dying the pain in my glands and neck and head was extreme.
