Thank you for writing in HMC,
blood in the urine is very common in long standing benign hypertrophy of prostate, or enlarged prostate. are you taking medicines for your prostate. if not you may have to start medicines as soon as possible. Also get an ultrasound done to check for stones and a routine urine examination. consult your doctor to decide on medical or surgical management. medically tamsulosin is an effective drug and surgically TURP ie transuretheral resection of prostate is done.
