What Causes Black Color Stool And Choking Feeling In Neck?

My brother won't go to the doctor. He has had white stool, no mucus, starch white like a sheet. His stool now turned black as of yesterday and he has a tight choking feeling in his neck. It looks like a bile duct blockage to me or some sort of Pancreatic/liver problem (cancer). I'm begging him to go to the emergency room

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your brother and understood your concerns.
White stool is definitely indicative of an obstruction in the bile flow and hence I would advise the following:
Tests of blood particularly for full liver functions.
Tests of stool, routine and particularly for occult bloo and stercobilinogen as there is malena also.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the whole abdomen is a must.
Get a clinical evaluation for pain in neck and get treated accordingly.
Te final plan of management depends upon the findings of the investigations, clinical evaluation.
I find this answer helpful
