I am male 39 years old. I had an anal fissure last year in May/ June. there was a mild bleeding on the surface of the stool. it was immediately after a heavy course of antibiotics/ anti-inflammatory medicines to treat a large pimple on the chest. the surgeon had diagnised anal fissure and then after a couple of weeks did anoscopy- it was all fine and clear. the fissure however did not heal fully. the surgeon had mentioned that the sphincter had undue tension and that is preventing the healing. he suggested surgery or to try homeopathy medicine. homeopathy worked and i was ok for a year. 6-7 weeks again i gaon had pain symptoms during bowel movement with mild bleeding 2-3 times on the toilet paper. my wife examined my anal area and she could clearly see the fissure (again 12'0 clock) position. i again took homeopathy and its fine. my question is that do i need to get anoscopy again though 1) it was done 12 months ago 2) my wife had clearly observed a fresh red cut which would have bled - which has now healed. also, i am not sure whether i really had constipation - my bowel movement is quite ok and regular. how could this happen again? The only common factor i can recall is a period of undue emotional stress/ uncertainty just before the fissure was detected...could this be the reason?
