What Causes An Ear To Bleed?

hi i have a cold started with a sore throat, woke up this morning with dried blood in and around my ear... not massive amounts - ear doesnt hurt - i do have headache above eyes but putting that down to having a cold - why would my ear bleed - no spots or scratches, havent had a bump of any sort?

Hello

It is likely that your ear drum may have ruptured a bit due to the infection (cold) and this would have caused the bleeding.
Please dont worry , it will heal by itself in few days, just keep the ear dry and do not let any water enter it.
