What Causes Acute Urticaria?

Sir, im 21 yrs old and underweight also. i hv been suffering from itching for 8 months. my blood test reports said it is acute urticaria. i also had IBS problem for 2 years. im taking citrizine every day...but if i dont take then severe itching results..plz help sir

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of acute urticaria which can be due to environment, exposure to heat, cold and could be due to some trigger factor. I would suggest you to:
- Apply calamine lotion on these itchy areas
- Apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product.
- Wear loose cotton clothes.
- Apply mucioprin ointment .

You should consult dermatologist once for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine medications along with corticosteroid ointment.
