What Can Cause Painful Throat With Lump Under The Chin?

hi my partner has had a sore throat,and cold symptoms for over 4 weeks,he has been to the doctor had swabs taken from the back of the throat,and have too wait for the results he did have a course of penicillian,took the pain away from his ear but didnt touch the pain in his throat,he has lump under his chin and he feels verry poorly .

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms your husband seems to be suffering from Upper Respiratory Tract Infection..
Nothing to worry, take a course of antibiotics again like Azithromycin 500 mg once a day for 5 days..
For reducing pain and inflammation in throat you can take Ibuprofen.
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Do warm saline gargles.
Do steam inhalations and use a humidifier at home..
Take sufficient rest..
