HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Rash can accompany viral infections especially in children, this is called viral exanthem.
In some children, a rash and fever can indicate more serious infections so he may need to seen by his doctor if his symptoms are not improving.

If it is a viral exanthem only, it would resolve with or soon after the viral infection.

I hope this helps
