What Can Be Done For Ear Pain, Throat Pain. As I Am A Breast Feeder?

Hi, I have bad flu and very phlegmy cough. Everytime I cough my ears are very sore. Can I put in some Betnesol drops to help with the pain. Throat also very sore when coughing. Anything I can use? I am breastfeeding, so only drinking Panado s for pain. Thanks!

Hello,
It is possible that when you have violent cough it will put pressure on the ear .
Putting anything in the ears will not help.
For cough to decrease the inflammation you can take betnesol.
But it is better if you take steam inhalations .
For lactating mothers there are few cough suppressants like benzonatate etc .
But you need to consult your doctor before taking medicines .
