Hello Becky..

What you are experiencing is called false labour pains which occur by 33rd to 36th week of pregnancy. If it becomes very strong and too painful and also if you see some discharge you must go to your doctor to check the cervical dilatation.

Otherwise false labour pains do stop after a while.

I would suggest you to do deep abdominal breathing exercises with slow inhalation and exhalation in lying / sitting position for about 15 mins to relax your muscles.

Also practice relaxation technique concentrating on all the parts of your body from toes to head.
