What Are The Symptoms Of Endocarditis?

32 5'3 110 pounds. Good medical history. ECHO done 1 3/4 years ago. Conclusion: Normal reading, however it did mention trace regurgitation, but normal reading for Mitral Valve Prolase. Doctor said that is pretty common to see trace regurgitation. Family history of Thyroid issues. Mom and sister have hypothyroid. I have not gotten that checked yet, but exhibit the standard symptoms. Heart palpatations, cold hands, vertical ridges on finger nails. Was sick about 5 months ago with possible strep. Took z-pack, got better. Worried I have endocarditis as I had bit the inside of my mouth when I was sick and it was bleeding. It has been 5 months since then. Feel fine, but have what looks like a small splinter hemmorage on my right thumb nail near the tip going about 1/4 of the way down. If I hadn't googled it, I would never even think I had Endocarditis. No out of place syptoms of fatigue, fever, etc. Now I am paranoid and having panic attacks because of this small black line.

HI THANKS FOR POSTING YOUR QUERY ON HEALTH CARE MAGIC.

PREVIOUS STREPTOCOCCAL INFECTION CAN CAUSE INFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS.

NAIL CHANGES WITH SPLINTER HEMORRAGHES ARE MORE LIKELY IN FAVOUR OFINFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS.

TRANSESOPHAGEAL ECHO CAN ACCURATELY DIAGNOSE THIS DISORDER.
I SUGGEST YOU GET SCREENED FOR HYPOTHYROIDISM.

3 BLOOD CULTURES CAN CONFIRM THE INFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS.

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FOR FURTHER QUERIES.
THANK YOU
