Hi,

Briefly, H. pylori cause antral-predominant gastritis associated with DU (duodenal ulcer) formation. Celiac disease causes malabsorption of multiple nutrients, with diarrhea, steatorrhea, weight loss, and the consequences of nutrient depletion (i.e., anemia and metabolic bone disease).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I don t have insurance and can t afford an endoscopy to tell me if I celiac so I m trying to determine my likelihood... My dad was diagnosed with Celiac 10 years ago. I have taken gluten out of my diet and now if I accidently get even the tiniest amount, I have diarhea, fatigue, stomach cramping, distention, bloating, etc... additionally I have anxiety, skin rash, brain fogginess, fat in my stool. It takes significantly less gluten to make me sick than it does my dad. He builds it up before it makes him sick. If I get a cracker it makes me sick. What is the liklihood this is celiac disease as opposed to a gluten intolerance?

My 9 year old daughter is complaining that it feels like something is poking her in arms, legs, and tops of her feet. She says it feels like there s something in her clothes poking her, but when she checks her clothes there is nothing there...and it is in multiple places. She says it comes and goes and it is more annoying than it is painful. I checked her skin and there doesn t appear to be any bumps or sign of irritation. She was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and I have no idea if this has any relationship, but thought I d mention it. Not sure if I should be worried about this...or maybe its just dry skin or something????
