What Are The Signs Of Diabetes ?

i just wanted to no the 1st signs of diabetes , for a while now, (but not every day) if i have my breakfast at say 8am, come 12oclock i have the shakes and i feel rotten. the only thing that relieves the shakes is eating a bar of chocolate eg sneakers, mars etc anythin which is high in sugar it looks like and within 10 mins the shakes have gone and i feel better and i have noticed that i drink a lot more after this has happened. any advice would be really useful, i am going to a chemist tomoro because they do free diabetes checks but i just wanted to know off people who have experienced this what it is like 1st hand. thank you so much in advance x

Main symptoms of diabetes include excess thirst, hunger and incresaed frequency of urination. Other symptoms can include blurry vision, numbness. You need to have a balanced diet. Go by the glycemic index, if the carbohydrate content is more in any food then avoid it or have it in minimal amounts. Otherwise follow the normal guidelines of  Low Fat, Low Sugar, Low Salt, Plenty of Fruit and Vegetables, and Plenty of Complex Carbohydrates (wholemeal bread, potatoes, grains, beans, peas, and other starchy foods.
