Hello, Every single pill can have its side effect, including Amlodipine and Atenolol. However, we decide to prescribe medications based on the health problems the patient is having. If the benefits outweigh the side effects we advise patients to continue taking them. If you will notice anything unusual, then should report to your caring doctor in order to get your rechecked and revise your current therapy making appropriate changes. I understand taking pills for long time can be annoying, but should not stop them on your own, and take them exactly as prescribed to get the desired effect. Take care.
