Hi,

Duromine is an amphetamine-like drug commonly prescribed to reduce body weight in people weight loss who are obese. Its common side effects include increased heart rate and blood pressure, palpitations, dry mouth, insomnia, nervousness, constipation, tremors, and restlessness.

There is a high risk for arrhythmia, heart failure, stroke or coronary heart disease. In view of the above I recommend you to take bupropion with naltrexone or orlistat which are less likely to cause those harmful effects as seen with duromine along with exercise and diet restrictions.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
