What Are The Effects Of Having A Stent Fitted In?

I had a Widow Heart Attack with 100% Blockage with a Blood Clot. I made it in time to recieve a Stent though i was told i might not survive. I was very close to death. I m now home after 5 days and what would be the odds of another one happening with the stent in?

Hi welcome to HCM.
The risk of having another heart attack after the left main block is around high around 50-60%.Its advisable to keep your blood pressure under control.maintain it below 125/80 mm of Hg.A screening 2 dimensional echo will help to rule out new clots formed.Drugs like antiplatelets and anticoagulants will help.In case of significant stenosis of other vessels exceeding 70% would require another stent to be placed in.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you.
