if u have stent replacement in your heart that stent is for life?

Yes the stent is for life.But annual follow up with a qualified cardiac specialist will be needed to see if the heart funcioning is ok with the stent or something more like an open heart surgery is needed.The normal life span of stent is 15 years after which it may need to be replaced.
