Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of Fixed Drug Eruption(FDE) to Ibuprofen. It is a type of drug reaction to a particular group or class of drugs e.g NSAIDs, Quinolones, Suphonamides, Penicillin group of drugs etc. They present clinically as erythematous, itchy/swollen patches sometimes with overlying blisters/bullae. The patches resolve with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which can persist for months.

The reaction can happen everytime at the same very spot(s) (hence called fixed drug erption) if an individual is rechallanged with the offending drug.

Treatment is complete avoidance of the offending drug OR drug class altogether and usually the spots gradually fade away with time, which can be hastened by topical steroid application.
