Used Sex Toy Only For Few Minutes. Chances Of Getting Infected With HIV?
I am a gay man who recently had an exposure. Another guy inserted a sex toy in me for about 10 to 15 secs that went only about an inch to an inch and half . He did not use this on him as he took it out of the box and and placed it on the bed for about 10 mins before trying to insert in me. Should I be worried about the risk of acquiring HIV considering he did not use it prior to using it on me? And hypothetically speaking , even if he did ( which I know he did not ) the fact that the toy was lying on the bed for about 10 mins before using on me, wouldn't that kill the virus assuming he was infected as HIV virus does not survive outside of the body that long. Please help.

You shouldn't worry as HIV is not transmitted by the way you described.
It transmits only through Blood,semen,vaginal secretions, needles and breast milk.
Mostly it is transmitted through sexual exchange of body fluids.

fact that, it was kept out for body for 10 minutes, which would make the virus die. however, if fluid is more on toy, then chance of virus being present on the toy may survive. however, i think you need not worry, as he has not used by him.

well dont worry HIV does not spread as you discribed .. it spread by vaginal fluid , semen , serum , blood ..it doesn not spread by any vehicle like sex toy..
