Unprotected Sex, Stringy Mucus Like Discharge. Groin Area Is Inflammed And Cuts On Labia. Yeast Infection Or Genital Herpes?
Hi,
I had unprotected sex and since then I have been experiencing stringy mucus like discharge, it doesn't have a smell.
My groin area is a little inflamed and i have noticed two small cuts on my labia, i have no itching, doesnt hurt to go to the bathroom however at times i experience muscular pains in my groin area..
Does it sound like a yeast infection or gential herpes?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Since you didn't provide complete information , so very difficult to evaluate diagnosis . Still in my opinion may be due to . 1 Syphilis , diagnosis can be confirmed by V D RL test , now a days not specific , so treponemal test is the best for diagnosis confirmation. 2 Gonorrhea , diagnosis can be confirmed by gram staining test. 3 Chlamydia Trachomatis , all these symptoms are an indication of this disease.Diagnosis can be confirmed by incubation of Mccoy & Hela cells . In my opinion consult a dermatologist and get his opinion as physical as well clinical examination with complete history is important for evaluation of any diagnosis. Good luck. Dr. HET
