Under Stress, Heart Palpitations, Sweating, Tingling Feeling In Lips And Tongue. Doctor Suggested Anxiety Medicines. Advice?

have had some elevated bp lately and has always been low normally. been under alot of stress for past 6 months. some trouble with heart palpations, sweating, then cold, today i have had alot of fuzzy tingling feelings in my lips and tongue. yestereday from my nose down to my chin a couple of times. very noticeable. not sure what to think. my dr just put me on anxiety meds starting today.

Hi,

The symptoms that you have described may be due to anxiety and in that case, will improve with anxiolytic medications. But I hope your doctor has assessed you and ruled out both thyroid disorders and heart disorders as they also may present with these symptoms. If not, at least get a blood test for thyroid hormones and an ecg done.
