Took Prilosec For Burning Sensation In Stomach. History Of Ulcer. Is This The Correct Treatment?
i just woke up and feeling a burning sensation in my stomach.. I went doctors care 2 weeks ago for some discomfort in my stomach and was told it was acid issues... I have just finished taking Prilosec for 14 days? I was diagnosed with an ulcer back in 2011.. took meds and it has not bothered me since? now I am hungry after eating? full more often and no appetite? shouldn't the Prilosec have helped at all?

I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. Prilosec will help you but you have to use it for atleast 6 weeks to see results. I suggest you to take happi D tablet for 4 weeks and then see if there is any change. If not you need to go for endoscopy to know the size of ulcer and better treatment which can be given for that will be suggested by your treating doctor. Thank you.

Recurrence of acid peptic disease could be due to
1. Work and stress
2. Consumption of fatty/spicy food
3. Irregular intake of food
4. Helicobacter pylori infection of stomach which may cause repeated symptoms
I would suggest you to take helicobacter pylori eradication kit for 2weeks
Regular intake of healthy food will help in a long time too
