Toddler Suffering From Loose Motion, Giving Ofloxacin Oral Solution And Zinc Dry Powder. Solution?
Hi, Thanks for writing to health care magic. First thing we should take care of in this scenario is dehydration. Monitor for signs of dehydration. They include 1. Decreased skin turgor 2. Increasing thirst. 3. Sunken eyes. 4. Irritability. 5. Drowsiness. 6. Decreasing passage of urine. Continue to give ORS or any fluid with salt and sugar for dehydration. If there is blood or mucus in the stool or if there is fever along with pain while passing stool we consider dysentry and treat with antibiotics. If there is only green color stool we need not worry about it and this only indicates increased bowel motility. Hope this helps. Take care.
