Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Blood stained stools suggest dysentery and need antibiotic treatment. I usually give Cefixime for 5 days along with zinc and probiotics. Your doctor will guide you. Meanwhile, give frequent sips of fluids like ORS to avoid dehydration.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
