Throat Disconfort, Headache, Doctor Confirmed Throat Clear, Left Chest Pain. Salt Gargling Comforts Throat And Reoccurrs Again
Good evening Dr. I have been having throat discomfort for months now with an occasional feeling of headache. Had previously done salt gargling, and it disappeared for a while, and reoccurred again. No pain while swallowing, and the doctor I consulted confirmed my throat to be clear. I also occasional have slight pain on the left side of my chest.
The symptoms which you have mentioned about throat discomfort for months, slight pain on the left side of chest associated with may also be due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). This condition is usually suspected when it is confirmed that your throat is cleared as your doctor said.
However, a Physical examination is mandatory to assess this since there are variety of other causes particularly heart related that needs to be ruled out. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have have any clarifications.
