Temperature Drops At Night. Have Bacteria, Nitrates In Urine. Advised Rotussin. Reason For Cause?

my granddaughters temp drops to 95.7 during the nite for past several nites...ER did blood work and urine test..small amount of bacteria and nitrates in urine..blood work showed normal..slightly elevated white blood cells..thyroid normal and chest xray clear....she was give a shot of antibiotic..rotussin I believe...she is turingin one sept 21....what could be causing this?..normal temps all during the day...

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
The common cause in young children for low body temperature is cold environment out side.
I suggest you to switch of air conditioner and fans whenever she is having low body temperature.
Hypothyroidism and adrenal insufficiency have to be ruled out by appropriate investigations.
Another possibility is sepsis, but here the child will be dull and will have symptoms of infection.
I suggest you to be in regular follow up with the doctor to find out the causes for her body temperature.
