Taking Methotrexate For Parovarian Ectopic Pregnancy. Bleeding, Air Bubbles In Blood. Normal?

I am going through a parovarian ectopic pregnancy . I was treated with methotrexate twice, the first dosage didn t work. The second shots seem to be. I had a transvaginal ultrasound and my left ovary has increased in size, but my hcg levels dropped fron 5061 to 2849 four days after second treatment. After ultrasound yesterday I m bleeding again and noticed air bubbles in blood. Is this normal?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Yes, you are right that your second dose has probably worked, but you need constant medical supervision till your levels of Beta hCG are negative.
Air bubbles in blood indicate an empty uterine cavity, which in fact is the case with you. So, I think it is not alarming for you to experience this.
Don't be scared & hope for the best.
Take care.
