Hello,
If she has developed infection or swelling on the other side too then she needs to take antibiotics.
It is worthless to wait for blood test for a viral infection .
As viral infection itself settles in few days but we need to prevent he damage caused by the infection .
For that SHE NEEDS ANTIBIOTICS .
She should prevent others to come in contact especially children as it may spread to others.
She can do hot fomentation to get relieved from the swelling and pain.
She should do gargles regularly.
Continue anti inflammatory.
She should take antibiotics as if the bacterial infection occurs then abscess may form and that will be difficult to treat.
