Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

It sounds like this started as a viral illness and possibly progressed to something bacterial in the ear. There is no definitive cure for the virus but is the ear is still painful, antibiotic can be prescribed. I recommend consulting with your pediatrician about this possibility.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Eric Goldstein,
Pediatrician
