Suggest Treatment For The Pain In The Throat While Swallowing

Hello Doctor, I have been suffering from fever for last 3 days. fever ranging between 99f-100f. for last 2 days i have severe pain and swallowness in my throat and mouth. I am unable to sleep because of pain.<br>I am taking tablet Calpol twice a day, Aziwok 500mg and Zincovit once a day. Could you suggest me something to get instant relief from pain from swallowen throat.<br>thankyou

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having a throat infection.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines+Betadine gargle for 5 to 7 days.
Aziwok 500mg is second antibiotics of choice. Penicillin antibiotics are drug of choice.
If symptoms persists even after 5 days of treatment with Aziwok , then I would suggest you to switch over to penicillin.
Calpol 500 mg can also taken . But paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs are better in controlling pain.
