Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain With Fluid Filled Liver
hello doctor, I am shwetha here and my father is suffering from sevier liver problem due to excessive drink of alchohol and doctors suggested that they cant do anything in this stage. His stomach became big with water filled on it so thats why he feel so much of pain. can you please suggest me how to reduce this pain?

Because of excess alcohol here severe cirrhosis seems to be most likely
For ascites (fluid collection in peritoneum), diuretic can be prescribed
For portal hypertension beta blocker drug can be prescribed
As condition is severe here, surgical intervention can't done just now
For pain suitable analgesic prescribed

Consult gastroenterologist for examination and further work up
