Suggest Treatment For Stomach Cramping And Headache

My son has been experiencing stomach cramping for almost five days. It started with what we presumed a flu (headache, diarrhea, cramping). The headache went away after 24 hours but the cramping still occurs sporadically, 2-3 times per day, lasts about 20 minutes then goes away. Not always around meals but he is not eating much as a result. He is still active an not showing any other symptoms. He has loose stools but is not going more frequently than normal (2 times per day).

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

What is the age of your son? Since when is he suffering from above problem? Possible causes like bacillary/amoebic dysentery. Other possibility is enteric fever.

Please consult your pediatrician. Get one ultrasound abdomen scan done and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
