THE BURNING SENSATION IN THE FEET OF THE CHILD IS TYPICAL OF PANTOTHENIC ACID DEFICIENCY, ALSO CALLED AS VITAMIN B5. THE CONDITION IS KNOWN AS BURNING FOOT SYNDROME.IT IS UNLIKELY THAT CONCERTA HAS GOT MUCH TO DO WITH IT.
I SUGGEST THE FOLLOWING-
1.START THE CHILD ON A MULTI-VITAMIN SUPPLEMENT WHICH CONTAINS VITAMIN B5 ALSO IN COMBINATION WITH OTHER VITAMINS. A SEPARATE PREP. OF ONLY THIS PARTICULAR VITAMIN IS NOT AVAILABLE.

2.WE NEED TO KEEP THE POSSIBILITY OF PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY ALSO IN MIND. SO KINDLY CONSULT A NEUROLOGIST WHO WILL DECIDE WHETHER NCV (NERVE CONDUCTION VELOCITY) STUDIES ARE REQD OR NOT.

3.HOW IS THE CHILDS EMOTIONAL HEALTH/WELL-BEING? HAS HE ADJUSTED TO THE SCHOOL/ HOME ENVIRONMENT? ANY RECENT CHANGE IN SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT WHICH MIGHT HAVE DISTURBED HIM.....

THESE ARE SOME FACTORS WHICH NEED CONSIDERATION. ALSO KINDLY TELL ME WHETHER HE IS AWARE THAT HE IS YOUR ADOPTED SON. THIS INFO IS IMPORTANT IN THIS CHILDS WORK-UP
