Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Caused After Hernia Surgery
I had hernia surgery on may the 8th, and I am doing every thing the doctor has asked me to do to relieve the constipation that I have had since then. I stop taking pain meds that the doctor had given me. and on take advil when I just can t take the pain anymore. And it s been awhile since my surgery. it s June the 11th. and I am at my witt s end with this. could you please give me some kind of ideal of what I can do? before I have a nerves break down? Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about hernia surgery and development of constipation after this. Following the instructions of the Doctors but no relief. Stopped pain medications to improve on. I would advise you the following: Get a proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen. X-ray of the abdomen in standing position. Tests of blood, urine and stool. To find out the cause of pain in abdomen after hernia surgery. To consider the causes and get investigated according to the General Surgeon you have consulted with to get an appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
